The Baloch American Congress (BAC) has asked U.N. officials to help end the rape of Baloch children by Pakistani soldiers in Balochistan.
In an urgent appeal to the U.N. officials, BAC president Dr. Tara Chand Wednesday drew their attention to the rape of a minor boy in the Kech district of Balochistan.
“Murad Ameer, a 10-year-old boy from Hoshab, a tiny town in Kech District in Balochistan has been brutally tortured and raped by soldiers of Frontier Corps, a paramilitary unit of Pakistan army. The boy was admitted to the hospital Wednesday in a critical condition,”
he said. The officials Dr. Tara Chand contacted are Virginia Gambia, U.N. Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict; Pramila Patten, U.N. Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict; and Mama Fatima Singhateh, U.N. Special Rapporteur on the Sale and Sexual Exploitation of Children.
“Scores of children have been disappeared by Pakistan security forces and their fate remains unknown,” the BAC president informed the U.N. officials.
He appealed to the U.N. to help get justice for the victims of rape and freedom of all children from the illegal custody of the Pakistani security services.
