The Baloch American Congress (BAC) has appealed to international organizations that work to protect child rights to save Baloch children from Pakistan army atrocities.
In a letter to UNICEF, Save the Children, Child Rights International Network (CRIN) and the Defence for Children, BAC president Dr Tara Chand Thursday drew the attention of the child organizations to enforced disappearances of a Baloch girl and boy by the Pakistan army from Washuk Tuesday.
He requested these organizations to take immediate actions to protect the lives of Baloch children in Balochistan in the backdrop of Pakistan army ongoing crimes against humanity and war crimes in Balochistan.
He said in the month of October alone Pakistan security forces have committed three atrocious actions in Balochistan.
“On October 2, 2021 police raided a home in Buleda in Kech district and killed Ramiz Khalil, 10, and injured his brother Reyan Khalil, 8.
“On October 10, Pakistan’s Frontier Corps killed five-year-old girl Shar Khatoon and her seven-year-old brother Allah Bakhsh while a third child Miskan was seriously wounded.
“On October 19, 2021 a 10-year-old girl Sanam Baloch and her six-year-old brother Gazzain Baloch were forcibly disappeared by the Pakistani army from the Washuk area in Balochistan.”
He said these actions of Pakistan army are in clear violation of the international covenants for the protection of children.
The BAC president appealed to the four organizations to use all resources available to prevail upon Islamabad to stop its military atrocities on Baloch children.
