Subject: Request for Meaningful Support for a Free Balochistan
Your Excellency,
First, let me extend my gratitude on behalf of the Baloch community in America for the stance you have taken regarding the plight of the Baloch in Pakistan since 2016.
I am Dr Tara Chand, a former government minister of Balochistan.
Your mention of Balochistan in your speech at the Red Fort was welcomed by the Baloch worldwide as a sign of moral support for a nation occupied, subjugated and terrorized by Pakistan. It gave great hope to my Baloch people.
Dear Sir,
Since the occupation of our land by the British-created country of Pakistan in 1948, my Baloch people have been severely oppressed by the powerful machinery of a rogue state. Ruled by a jihadist army, this ill-conceived country is responsible for the disappearances, torture, death, and dislocation of thousands of my countrymen. This is part of the strategy adopted by Pakistan to crush the national liberation struggle of the Baloch, which we as a nation have been waging since the occupation of our home land.
Respected Prime Minister,
The conflict between the Baloch and Pakistan is actually a story of genocide, as defined by the UN covenants, by the Rawalpindi GIQ. However, with the support of powerful nations in the contemporary world, Pakistan is committing atrocities against my Baloch with impunity. The entry of China as a colonial power in the region poses an additional challenge for my Baloch people.
The agonizing fact is that, at present, the national liberation struggle of the Baloch is not being recognized by any nation for obvious political, economic, and strategic reasons. Aside from the media in India, there is little voice raised against the atrocities being committed by Pakistani state in Occupied Balochistan.
With its immense riches and strategic location, a free and friendly Balochistan will be a blessing for the peace-loving people of India. However, without meaningful moral and political support at the state level, Pakistan and its allies might crush the national resistance of the Baloch people, leading to a new and darker phase of colonialism in Balochistan. That would be the saddest day for Mother India as a free Balochistan is the corner stone of this century becoming an Indian century.
I laud your wise decision of holding the Indus Water Treaty in abeyance and making it clear to the jihadist generals of Pakistan that blood and water cannot flow together,
I humbly request that the Indian state and government, under your leadership, adopt a policy of meaningful political, moral, and diplomatic support for the Baloch national resistance against the occupation of Pakistan.
I urge you to mention Pakistan Occupied Balochistan in your speeches and I assure you this would be a master stroke against the terrorist entity of Pakistan, which is likely to fall like a house of cards when you may kindly call out Pakistan for occupying Balochistan.
Baloch people have great expectations from your leadership.
Thank you in anticipation.
Sincerely,
Dr. Tara Chand Baloch
President
Baloch American Congress
