The Baloch American Congress (BAC) has cautioned U.S. leaders any dealings with the chief Pakistan’s premier spy service ISI undermines U.S. and global security.
“The duplicity of the ISI has been proven time and again. They collected billions of dollars from the U.S. to assist in the war against al Qaeda while hosting Osama bin Laden, who Pakistan officially declared a martyr,” Dr Tara Chand, president of the BAC, said in a Press statement Thursday.
“Now the ISI chief Gen Faiz Hameed is blatantly lying to the U.S. leaders that Pakistan does not want Taliban to capture power in Kabul while covertly providing full logistical and tactical support to the Taliban fighters.”
Dr Tara Chand appealed to senators Mark Warner and Marco Rubio, chair and ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, and congressmen Adam Schiff and Devin Nunes, chair and ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, to take the lead in countering the deceptive narrative of the ISI regarding Afghanistan.
“More than 2,400 U.S. soldiers sacrificed their lives and the U.S. invested nearly two and half trillion dollars for the cause of peace in Afghanistan. All this will go to waste by falling into the trap of ISI sweet talk. The ISI has not abandoned its Project Taliban, with the main objective of ruling over Afghanistan.”
Dr Tara Chand said the irony is the ISI chief, who is now in the U.S., is accompanied by the country’s NSA Moeed Yusuf, who has cheating the U.S. in his resume.
“Yusuf is an ISI mole, who was planted at the publicly funded United States Institute for Peace for more than 10 years. During this time, he deceived U.S. policy planners at taxpayers expense.”
He said the grand deception fit in with the prophesy of now dead “Godfather of Taliban” Gen Hamid Gul, a former ISI head, who boasted ISI will defeat America with American money in Afghanistan.
Dr Tara Chand reminded the U.S. leaders any dealing with the ISI chief contravenes Leahy Law as he is the lead culprit behind thousands of enforced disappearances in Balochistan and elsewhere in Pakistan.
